Automatic Machine up-dates for SDX machines

Hi everyone

I often see comments relating to updating our SDX machines automatically over WiFi so have done a short video showing how this is achieved.

I have assumed that you have already set your machines up to accept WiFi so have not covered this however, if you want me to cover this no problem just drop me a note.

I have not had a chance to edit my video so when you come to the second part where I say that I have paused the video to save you watching paint dry, you might want to fast forward a tiny bit and I didn’t click pause immediately!  Sorry.

  1. Anne, I have a question about the Canvas Workspace that should be installed on my computer. I have tried several times to install it on my computer. It downloads and I install it, then try to login and nothing happens. Just the words Login appear at the top of the screen, and the rest of the screen is blank. I am the administrator of my computer and I temporarily disabled my Norton security, thinking that Norton may be blocking it. Still no luck. I have a Lenovo Yoga 700 running Windows 10. Can you think of any reason it will not give me a proper login screen?

      I have tried to replicate what you are doing but I haven’t had that problem. I assume that you have downloaded the correct version for your computer and cutting machine, I know this is probably a stupid thing to say but that is possibly the only thing that I could imagine would be wrong.

      I use antivirus software and didn’t have to disable it to install it on my Windows 10 computer but it is always a first go to if something doesn’t appear to load properly.

      From the sound of things you have uninstalled the programme and reinstalled it again. If so did you turn your computer off and reboot again before reinstalling it? Clutching at straws here. Failing that I would email the support line. I had problems with my actual machine years ago and they were so very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

      Sorry I can’t be more constructive. If you are still having problems maybe you could contact me again and if you have something like Teams on your computer I could look at your screen and see if I can see anything obvious but I hesitate to recommend that as you don’t know me from a bar or soap and I wouldn’t let anyone I don’t know have control of my computer!

      Let me know that you have got it sorted as and when and what you did to fix it as I doubt you will be the first person to ask that question and your response could well help another person.
